Therapy for Service Members, Military Spouses, and Children Navigating the Challenges of Military Life
Military life brings unique experiences and transitions that can affect individuals and families in many ways. I provide therapy for active-duty service members, military spouses, and children who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the demands of military life.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I understand that challenges often affect the entire family system. Military families may experience frequent moves, changes in roles and responsibilities, periods of separation, deployments, reunification, and the ongoing process of balancing service commitments with family relationships.
My goal is to provide a supportive, practical, and respectful space where service members and their families can develop effective coping strategies, strengthen communication, and build resilience.
Support for Service Members
Serving in the military requires adaptability, commitment, and resilience. At times, the demands of service can create stress that affects relationships, mood, sleep, motivation, or overall well-being.
Therapy can provide support with:
-
Anxiety and stress management
-
Depression and changes in motivation
-
Relationship challenges
-
Life transitions
-
Adjusting to changes in roles or responsibilities
-
Developing coping strategies and resilience
Support for Military Spouses and Children
My Approach
Military life affects the entire family. Spouses and children may experience their own challenges related to transitions, uncertainty, separation, changing routines, and adjusting to new environments.
I work with military spouses and children to:
-
Navigate stress and transitions
-
Strengthen communication and relationships
-
Develop coping skills
-
Build confidence and resilience
-
Process changes within the family system
My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with a family-focused perspective that recognizes the unique experiences of each individual.
Therapy is a collaborative process focused on understanding your experiences, developing practical tools, and creating meaningful change.
